User roles

GENI Workflows has two user types.

Analyst

An analyst can:

• view the resources of every configured environment, such as queues and storage;
• register workflows and workflow versions;
• submit samples for processing;
• read task metrics, logs, and costs;
• delete workflow versions;
• cancel submissions.

Admin

An administrator has everything an analyst has, and in addition can:

• manage cloud resources, such as queues and storage;
• enable new AWS accounts and GCP projects;
• manage users;
• create tag keys;
• create API tokens;
• restore a deleted workflow or workflow version;
• change whether a workflow version is immutable;
• enable or disable an engine or queue.
